About

The Department of Osteopathic Medical Specialties represents the major specialties of medicine--including cardiology, endocrinology, emergency medicine, gastroenterology, infectious diseases, nephrology, neurology, oncology, pulmonology, rheumatology, and global medicine.

The primary responsibility of this department is to provide a quality academic education to students of the College of Osteopathic Medicine at Michigan State University, with emphasis on developing well-rounded physicians. The Department is committed to basic and clinical research, to the development of medical education programs for the profession and the public, and to the broad mission of providing quality medical care.

We recognize that the classroom includes many facets of our Community, our Country, and our World. To that end we go into our surroundings, meet our fellow humans where they are, and strive to continuously improve in our service to others.
