The Clerkship experience is designed to educate and equip osteopathic physicians with skills necessary to enable them to enter a residency program. Students complete these two years in "rotation" learning to treat patients at MSUCOM Partner hospitals in the state of Michigan and beyond.
The Department of Osteopathic Medical Specialties provides oversight for core rotations in Internal and Emergency Medicine and for several elective rotations--Including international experiences like IM621: The Clinical Global Medicine Clerkship.

Department of Osteopathic Medical Specialties (OMS) Faculty and Staff reach people diverse ways. We don't just educate students. We change the world!
Our doctors treat patients in local hospitals and Community Health Clinics. They also expand the world's understanding of biomechanics, diagnostics, and diseases and their transmission.
From pioneering novel ways to use insects as food to harnessing natural processes like decomposition to provide context (and many things in between), we're going places and improving things.
